Our hospital stay

As the second week of febuary 2010 came.. we had a little hospital stay at CMC.. the doctors took very good care of us!  They said that you had some extra fluid, and I had mild hypertension.. I called your Dad and he rushed off work to meet me at the hospital.  He kept me laughing and smiling all night while I had to put up with all of the crazy tests.  I knew that you were still healthy you were kicking and moving around like crazy but they still wanted me to go on bed rest... and that was fine :)  I knew once you came i would be so busy so bed rest sounded good to me :)

What an exciting day... we finally got a good picture of you! Dad couldn't get off work that day, so I took your meme... we had a nice lunch after.  We could see you moving around in there you looked so cute!!

newyears 2011

Our first newyears together, but also our last alone.  We realized this would be our only new years without you.. so your dad got a little tipsy... :) Kind of bitter sweet that this will be our only one alone but it reminds me of a quote that one of my young mom friends likes... by the way she's a great mom :)"Being a young mom means we met a little early, but I get to love you a little longer. Some people said my life ended when I had a baby, but my life had just begun. You didn't take away from my future, you gave me a new one."

It's christmas time around here... couldn't help but think this time next year will be YOUR first christmas with us.  We can't wait... but for this christms I'll tell and show you a little bit of what we did without you.

We had a great day with your memire and pepire.. teaching them how to play wii.. they were actually pretty good!  We all ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner together.. spending the day watching movies, playing wii, and exchanging gifts.  It snowed so much that day!

So you're definitely a boy.

 November 23rd, 2011 We were so anxious to find out we went a few weeks early to a really neat little office here in Charlotte.. called "My Sunshine Baby."  It was a  Tuesday night.. I had to anxiously wait all day for your dad to get off work.  He came home picked me up and we went to find out... I knew you were a boy.. but I still had to prove it to everyone :)

We sat in the office, and ate a few pieces of candy.. the lady called us back to a little room and put the wand on me. I was only 15 weeks at this point so she said she would be like 90 percent sure when she saw. Well she definitely saw.. we were so shocked actually that we could tell so early along.. most people don't find out for about 4 more weeks.  We were so excited to share the news!!  And immediatly starting thinking of names:) Here you are!

After the appointment that night we went to a japanese restaurant and started making the calls to everyone!

It's becoming very real today. Today we went to the midwife to try and hear your heartbeat. It was there!! whew.. You had a very strong heartbeat of 160. I thought you were going to be a girl when I heard your heartbeat was so high.. but in my dreams you were always a boy so in a way I knew all along that you would be Jacob.

I'm starting to show a lot now too!!

September 9th, 2010

Dear Jacob:

September 9th, 2010.. happy birthday to me.. my birthday was only 2 days ago and we just found out today that we are 5 weeks pregnant with you. This is so exciting I just want to tell the world.. first I called my mom, grandmother, and aunts.. soon the news spread fast throughout the family. I was still afraid at this point that this was not for certain so I didn't want to tell everyone about you yet. A couple days later we let the world know. We are all very excited to meet you next May.. stay in there!
